Pet Grooming Services

Dog and Cat Grooming Services

Grooming is a vital part of the well-being and health of your dog or cat.

Regular professional grooming is not only beneficial for your pet’s appearance, but also for their health. A professional groomer can help spot potential health issues in your pet, such as skin problems, ear infections, parasites, dental issues, and more. By detecting these issues early, you can prevent them from becoming more serious and costly. A professional groomer can also advise you on the best grooming practices for your pet, such as how often to brush, bathe, trim nails, and clean ears. Regular professional grooming can help your pet stay healthy, happy, and comfortable.

Experts agree that it’s never too early to introduce your pet to fine grooming–bring your little one in. Puppies must have 1st round of vaccinations prior to appointment.

We will never sedate your pet, and in only rare cases will your pet be muzzled and always with your knowledge and approval.

Cat grooming is available on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month.

Scheduling

While we tend to book 2 weeks out, Saturdays fill up quickly. Please allow for 3-4 weeks to book a weekend appointment.

Grooming Times

We ask for 3-4 hours for your pet’s appointment. We are a teaching facility, and to ensure the best treatment for your pet, we may require a little extra time.

Special Needs Grooming

If you have a dog with special needs, such as anxiety, mobility issues, or medical conditions, you may find it challenging to groom them at home. That’s why it’s important to choose a groomer who is trained and experienced in working with special needs dogs. A groomer who understands your dog’s unique situation can provide a safe, comfortable, and stress-free grooming experience for both you and your pet. Here are some of the benefits of having a groomer trained in special needs dogs:

– They can use specialized equipment and techniques to accommodate your dog’s physical and emotional needs.
– They can recognize signs of distress or discomfort and adjust accordingly.
– They can communicate effectively with you and your veterinarian to ensure your dog’s health and well-being.
– They can offer advice and tips on how to maintain your dog’s coat and hygiene at home.
– They can build a trusting relationship with your dog and make grooming a positive and rewarding experience.

Communication

Open communication with your groomer is key to a successful grooming experience for your pet. If your furry friend has any current health concerns, recent behavioral changes, or has visited the vet lately, please let us know. Sharing this information allows us to tailor our grooming approach to your pet’s unique situation, ensuring a comfortable and stress-free experience.

Your pet’s well-being is our priority, and we appreciate your cooperation in helping us provide the care they deserve.

Pricing Schedule

Every pet is unique, and so is their grooming needs. At Sparta Pet Shoppe and Spa, we understand that factors like your pet’s hair length, condition, and temperament can greatly affect their grooming process. That’s why we don’t have a one-size-fits-all pricing. Instead, our skilled groomers set individual prices for each pet, ensuring you only pay for the services your furry friend needs.

Before we begin any grooming session, we’ll have a full consultation to discuss your pet’s specific needs. We’ll consider factors like the amount of scissor work, brushing, clipping, the degree of matting, the complexity of the cut, your pet’s disposition, drying time, hair length, and size. This personalized approach allows us to provide the best care for your pet, delivering a grooming experience that’s as unique as they are.
